Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort Movie Review

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort is a horror thriller movie released in 2014. This movie is written by Frank H. Woodward and directed by Valeri Milev. The major characters of Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort are played by Anthony Ilott, Chris Jarvis, Aqueela Zoll, Sadie Katz, Rollo Skinner, Billy Ashworth, Roxanne Pallett, Radoslav Parvanov, Danko Jordanov, and Asen Asenov.

As the name suggests, Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort is the sixth installment of the famous Wrong Turn series. It is the sequel of the Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, although the plots of these two movies do not connect anywhere except for the 3 killers. In Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort, we see a group of friends fall victim to those killers' families when they come to help one of their friends to inherit his family properties.

Plot:

At the beginning of Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort, we see a couple making love in a jungle. Later on, both of them get killed by those three disfigured psychopath serial killers.

Next we move on the main story. We get introduced to a group of friend. One of them is Danni, who has recently learned that he inherits a resort inside a jungle. So he is taking his girlfriend Toni and some other friends to visit that place. Meanwhile in the resort, we see a brother and a sister working as the manager. Those siblings seem to have some kind of incest relation between them.

Upon reaching the resort, none of the friends, except Danni gets excited. The siblings also get disappointed, as they expected only Danni to visit them. But Danni's friends, especially his girlfriend, are supportive enough to understand his emotions and decides to stay there for a few days. But soon after they arrive, a old lady gets killed in the resort with the help of the brother.

The friends try to adjust with the environment. They find the antique furniture and the big swimming pool exciting. In the meantime, we see the brother is planning for something big with the 3 disfigured killers and orders them to wait. At the same time, two of the friends meet the local sheriff who is looking for the old lady who was killed in the resort. The others passes their times by partying and hovering over the history and the antiques of the resort.

The brother convinces Danni to go to hunting. While Danni kills a wild deer, one killer kills the local sheriff. One of the friends see the killer eating the raw dead deer. We gets scared and runs away and end up injuring Danni and himself in birbwire. After returning to the resort, the sister attends Danni. At one point, she tries to seduce him, but his girlfriend comes and later on, Danni and his girlfriend  have sex.

Next morning, the friends hold a meeting where most of them want to leave the place. But Danni pressures everyone to stay. Then two friends (a couple) plans to steal some old artifacts and leave. They then find a secret room where the sex rituals were held. They start to have sex there but the three killers attack them. They kill the girl there. The boy gets killed later by the sister who first tries to have sex with him.

Danni and his girlfriend have an argument, as the girlfriend wants to leave. She also finds the behavior of the sister with Danny suspicious. At that night, the siblings take Danni to a nearby village where all of the inhabitants are Danni's relatives and all of them are disfigured. The 3 killers are also the residents of this village. One of the friends follow Danni there who gets caught and then killed by the villagers.

They give Danni some drugs. By getting intoxicated by that drug, Danni sees the sister as her girlfriend and finally has sex with her in front of the villagers, which was their main target. The next morning, he returns to the resort where all others are set to leave. Then the friends find the horrific truth behind the resort. The killers attack them, accompanied by the siblings.

Can they escape from there? What happens to the masterplan of the killers and the siblings? Lets watch Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort to know the answers.

My review about the movie Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort:
First of all, I didn't like the movie Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort.

The plot of Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort was not bad. It brought the family legacies and a broader perspective than the other movies of this franchise, which only features killing for no reasons. From that way, its an improvement. But the poor direction and screenplay have ruined it. The same plot could be shown in better way.  Some of the scenes (like trying to seduce an almost dead guy) looked totally unrealistic, even for a horror film. Several times, the sequences didn't match. And as a horror movie, it may fail toally to scare you.

The acting adds another negative point for Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort. Acting of most of the characters were bad. Specially the bad acting of Anthony Ilott as Danni and Sadie Katz as the sister harmed the viewing experience. Among all, the acting of Aqueela Zoll as Danni's girlfriend seemed natural. The other characters didn't seem realistic. The dialogues were okay. The costume designs were good.

The locations used for  Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort looked beautiful, specially the resort. The set design was also good. The lighting, sound effects and the camera works were also okay. Same can be said for the music and sound effects. The special effects were also good, but at some times, the make ups will look unrealistic.

Just like all other films of this series, Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort has several nude scenes and gore scenes. So whoever has a idea of this franchise, knows that this movie is not for children.

So overall, Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort may fail to please you, even you are horror movie fan. People who do not like horror movie may find this one disturbing. With a broader plot like this than the previous films, this movie had the potential to become far better than them, but it failed. I didn't enjoy watching is, so I will not recommend to watch Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort to others.

But what do you think of it? Don't forget to share with us in the comments.

Thale Movie Review

Thale

Thale is a Norwegian supernatural mystery horror movie released in 2012. This movie is written and directed by Aleksander L. Nordaas. The major (and almost all) characters of the movie Thale are played by Silje Reinåmo, Erlend Nervold, Jon Sigve Skard, Morten Andresen and Sunniva Lien. This movie is based on a Scandinavian folklore character named Hulder.

In the movie Thale, we see two friends and colleagues find a mysterious girl in the basement of a house. The mystery keeps on unfolding as they keep on finding strange incidents about her past.

A Scene from the movie Thale

Plot:
In Thale, at first we get introduced to to two friends cum colleagues named Leo and Elvis, whose job is to clean up crime scenes. Elvis is weak-hearted, he gets sick of the crime scenes. But Leo can keep his head cool while cleaning up.

One day they are doing their job of cleaning up in a house in the forest. After working for a while, they find a hidden passage in that house. The passage leads them to a secret chamber which again leads to a room. Elvis is very curious and he follow the secret path, while Leo reminds him several times that they are not allowed to touch anything, they only clean up.

In that secret room, they find canned foods, scientific books, drawings and a cassette player with some cassettes. It is evident that some scientific experiments were done in this room. The condition of the room also suggests that no one has been here for a very long time. Leo informs their other colleagues about the room and they are on the way here.

But before they leave the room, a naked girl emerges from a bathtub which is filled with some white liquid. The girl has some mask and cables attached to her which provides her life supplies. As soon a she wakes up, she removes them. The girl faints then and Elvis takes her out of the bathtub and places her on a table. Leo goes out and when he comes back, finds the girl strangling Elvis. Leo talks the girl to release Elvis and then gives her some clothes.

The girl starts eating canned foods which are already rotten. Leo goes out again to bring some food for the girl. Meanwhile, Elvis plays those cassettes and the girl reacts strangely hearing the voices from the record. Elvis then finds a nicely decorated room hidden inside that room. He follows the girl there. The girl has some special ability with which, she gives Elvis some vision of her past. Now all these time, some strange creatures seem to closing in that cabin.

When Leo comes back, they find a tail preserved in a refrigerator. Now three of them are sitting in the room waiting for other people to come. Then Leo tells Elvis that he has lung cancer. Earlier, the girls also seemed to notice something strange in Elvis's chest.

Suddenly, they hear footsteps nearing in, circling the cabin. The girl gets frightened so they lock the door. Someone tries to enter there by force but Leo and Elvis stop the intruder. Next a gas is released in the room through the keyhole which makes Elvis and Leo unconscious.

Then we see more of what happened to that girl. Elvis and Leo wakes up outside the cabin, blindfolded and tied to a chair. An old man tells them more about the girl. Some soldiers with weapons are inside that room looking for the girl. After telling the story, the old man proceeds to kill Leo.
Can Leo or Elvis be saved? Does to soldiers find the girl? What in their fate? Lets watch Thale to know these answers.

My review about the movie Thale:
First of all, Thale seemed as a average movie with an interesting plot, which has both of some strong and weak sides.

The plot of the movie Thale was good and seemed unique. It is not just an average mystery horror movie you watch regularly. But the problem with the plot is, it goes a little slow. The lack of contents can also contribute to make you feel bored. More contents, storyline, special effects, dialogues and actions could make this movie far better. But even with these drawbacks, Thale felt enough entertaining. The direction and screenplay were also good.

The acting of all the major characters were good in Thale. This movie has a very limited set of characters but the director chose them well. The dialogues were also good. But the whole movie is in Norwegian language, so unless you know that, you will need English subtitles with Thale. The make ups and the costume designs also blended nicely with the movie.

The music and the sound effects were also okay and matched nicely with the theme of Thale. The set design, lighting and camera effects will also seem well balanced. This movie is a low budget film, where most of the film was shot in the director's father's basement. But considering this, the director has done a good job. The camera works on only some shots may make you feel the lack of budget in the movie Thale. The strange creatures looked terrifying but natural, which we don't always see even in some high budget films.

The movie Thale contains some nudity, so it is not appropriate to watch this movie with kids.

So overall, Thale seemed a nice movie with some small drawbacks. I enjoyed watching this film. If you want to watch it to get frightened, you will get disappointed. But if you like mystery movies with folklore characters, I guess you will enjoy Thale. So I'll recommend watching the movie Thale to all mystery or foreign movie lovers.

A Scene from the movie Fertile Ground

Plot:
At the beginning of Fertile Ground, we see the family of Emily and Nate, a happily married couple. Nate is an artist and Emily is a fashion designer. Emily has got pregnant recently and they are having a party with friends at their home. Suddenly Emily starts bleeding in the bathroom. Later on, she has a miscarriage and the doctors tell her that she cannot conceive a child again.

Next, to give a fresh start to themselves, Emily and Kate leaves the city. They buy a house in the country, which was once owned by Nate's ancestors. Both of them are happy to move there, but from the first day, Emily starts sensing something unusual. At the basement, they find an old trunk, where they find a diary, some photos and some other things owned by Nate's forefather. That person's marriage date was same as Nate and Emily's.

Soon they discover a human skeleton hidden in their sewerage line. The police tells them not to worry, because it was very old. But Emily stays suspicious and from a local historian, she learns the horrid history of the house. There has been a lot of murders and suspicious deaths in their house previously. As Nate leaves for a business trip, Emily stays alone at that night and again faces unusual experiences. At one point, she faints.

Later, the couple learns that Emily has got pregnant again. But Nate keeps on staying busy at his studios with his arts for the nearby exhibition and ignores Emily. He also becomes more rude to her day by day. At a party in their house, Nate's agent falls from the upstairs through the window and later on, dies.

Things get worse day by day. Emily keeps on having her paranormal visions and Nate keeps on getting more and more rude to her. Emily tries to leave the house but can't. At one point, she finds that the date of their wedding, moving in to the house, getting the news of being pregnant are identical to the dates of the same events of Nate's ancestor's. She finds the links between the deaths in the house and in all of the cases, the husbands have killed their wives.

Emily believes, the house has possessed Nate and marching the dates, she predicts the day when Nate is going to kill her. But is it what the ghosts want? Can Emily save the baby and herself? Let's watch the movie to get these answers.

My review about the movie Fertile Ground:

First of all, Fertile Ground seemed just like an average horror movie.

The plot of Fertile Ground is very common. We have seen a lot of horror movies with the haunted houses, like The Amityville Haunting, so the idea seemed overused. So this movie won't provide you something new. Other than that, everything else is good. Even with a plot like this, Fertile Ground has its moments. The movie goes scary from time to time and keeps the suspense up. The ending may not be predictable for everyone. The direction and screenplay were not bad, like the cinematography. Several times this movie felt a little boring, but those boring moments sometimes helped to build the suspension up later on.

Another problem with the plot of Fertile Ground is, although it does give an open ending like Asylum Blackout , but still it does not give explanations to everything that happened. So, you may have some questions unanswered after the movie ends, which may feel like plot holes. For example, we saw Nate drawing something but refuses to show them to Emily. But at the end, we saw only blank canvases. The ending had a good chance to explain all the things, but it didn't.

The acting of the leading characters are good in this movie. Same goes for make ups, dialogues, costumes and set designs. Fertile Ground has used almost no special effects, but the way it is made, you will not miss them. The lighting and sound effects are also good, but I think the sound editing could be better. Several times the music seemed too loud. Combining all these, Fertile Ground succeeds in its main aim as a horror movie, to create a scary environment.

For some nude scenes and some violent scenes, Fertile Ground is not appropriate for children.

So, finally, this movie seemed as a missed opportunity. Fertile Ground had the potentials, but for not taking advantages of them, it stays far from the movie it could be. But still, if you like scary movies, you should definitely give Fertile Ground a try. Even if the plot fails to impress you, you may still like the scary moments.

Ending explanation of the movie Fertile Ground:

Note: This part contains spoiler, so the ending explanation of Fertile Ground is written in white font. To read it, select and drag the space below with your mouse pointer.

At the end, it shows in the ultrasonography that Emily was not pregnant. So it suggest that, everything she experienced was in her mind. May be there was nothing wrong with the house, the histories and Nate's behavior, but Emily got paranoid and then killed her friend and Nate. Another possible explanation is, the history of the house was real. Learning them has put a psychological pressure on Emily. And as she had a sad history with her pregnancy, she made up stuffs herself, including the pregnancy. But non of them doesn't give a clear explanation about Nate's behavior. We don't know that if he was really becoming rude or if that was also the imagination of Emily.

The fact that Emily was mentally unsound is finally shown by the ending scene of Fertile Ground when she ended up in a padded cell and was holding an imaginary child in her hands.

Silent Night Movie Review

Silent Night

Silent Night is a horror thriller movie released in 2012. This movie is a loose remake of the 1984 film Silent Night, Deadly Night. It is also also loosely based on the real events of 'Covina Massacre'. Silent Night is written by Jayson Rothwell and directed by Steven C. Miller. The main characters of the film Silent Night are played by Malcolm McDowell, Jaime King, Donal Logue, Rick Skene, Ellen Wong, Andrew Cecon and John B. Lowe.

Silent Night is about a man who disguises as Santa Clause at a Christmas Eve and kills the 'sinners' of a small town. The sheriff of that town and the deputies try to stop that man.

Jaime King in a scene of Silent Night by ocean's movie review
Jaime King in a scene of Silent Night

Plot:

Silent Night starts with the sequence where a man wearing the dress of Santa Clause wears a mask. He then kills a man who is tied to a chair.

Next, on the morning of the Christmas, the deputy sheriff Aubrey gets up from her bed by the call of the sheriff. The sheriff asks her to join the duty, as they are low on manpower. Aubrey tries to avoid it, as she has lost someone close recently and it is the first Christmas after that, so it is a special day for her. But after the sheriff's pressure, she agrees to come to her office.

The mysterious Santa Clause next kills a little girl who behaves very badly with her mother. After reaching to her office, Aubrey hears that another deputy is missing, and the rumor is, he has ran away taking another man's wife with him.

Aubrey hears a report about a man making the children cry and she goes to investigate it. She then finds a man who is spreading depressing messages among kids about Christmas. She warns that man. Following another report, she goes to house and finds the first victim of the killer, dead. It is the deputy sheriff who was missing. She also finds the body of his girlfriend in that house. Being inexperienced, Aubrey cannot handle the situation properly. Then the sheriff reaches there. He tells Aubrey that they are on their own in this case, they have no other help in this vacation.

The killer then kills two ladies and a man who are involved in making soft porn. In the police station, the sheriff and the deputies try to find a suspect and to stop the killer. They are desperate for some clues. Meanwhile, the killer kills the perverted father of the local church. Aubrey finds a suspect who somehow matches with the killer's profile, but before she can arrest him, he runs away. From that man, Aubrey learns the story of a man who killed his wife (who was cheating on him) and he is now killing people on every Christmas Eve on a different town.

Aubrey has some arguments with the sheriff about the identity of the killer. Next, while the sheriff is informing the mayor about the killings, the killer kills the mayor. Then the killer kills the mayor's daughter and her boyfriend.

Aubrey finds her suspect again, but this time she kills him. Then she finds a common sign given by the killer to his victims. Following the sign, she finds her father dead in her home. The sheriff also has that sign, and to kill him, the killer Santa Clause attacks the police station.

My reviews about the movie Silent Night:

Silent Night seemed like just an average horror movie.

The plot was good, but nothing special. It was something that we have seen in a lot of horror movies. The ending and the identity of the killer in Silent Night was something a little different from regular horror thrillers, but still no big surprise. The direction and screenplay was good.

There was a little mismatch in the plot of Silent Night. That is, how the killer managed to carry all those weapons with him all those times, and how he could know the 'sins' of all his victims didn't seem realistic.
The acting of the main characters were also good. The make ups and the dialogues were good too, but nothing extraordinary. Most of the killing scenes of Silent Night looked realistic. The music, the lighting and the camera works also looked good.

Silent Night has used several dark humors and they were also not bad.

There was some nude scenes and a lot of gore scenes in the movie Silent Night, so in no way you should watch this one with kids. Moreover, this film can give a wrong message to children about Christmas.

So, finally, I enjoyed watching Silent Night, but not much. Watching it will not give you any extra good experience than other regular horror movies. I'll recommend this movie to you only if you are a big fan of horror movies with a lot of gore scenes. Otherwise, skipping Silent Night will not be a big miss.

Ending Explanation of Silent Night:

This part contains spoiler, so I've written it in white font. If you have watched Silent Night and curious about the ending, select the below part by dragging you mouse to read the ending explanation.

Remember the story Aubrey heard from her suspect whom she killed later on? On one Christmas Eve, a man killed his wife with a flamethrower who was cheating on him. At the end of Silent Night, we see the cops arrived at that scene and killed that man. One of those cops' son was sitting in a car nearby and his father was killed by fire after shooting that man. Seeing his father killed this way, the son becomes maniac and he is the killer in Santa Clause's disguise.

Also, at the end of Silent Night, we see the killer's musk was burning on the police station's floor without anyone around it, and then we saw a man with burnt face, that indicates that the killer is alive and he will kill more people in future.

So, how did you like Silent Night? Share with us in comments.

Wrong Turn 5 Movie Review

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is a crime horror thriller movie released in 2012. This movie is written by Declan O'Brien, Alan B. McElroy and directed by Declan O'Brien. The main characters of Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines are played by Doug Bradley, Camilla Arfwedson, Simon Ginty, Roxanne McKee, Paul Luebke, Oliver Hoare, Kyle Redmond-Jones and Amy Lennox. Radoslav Parvanov, George Karlukovski and Borislav Iliev play the characters of the three serial killers. As the name suggests, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is the fifth movie of the horror franchise Wrong Turn

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is the story of the same old tree psychopath serial killers, who haunts five teen tourists and some police in a small town.
A Scene from the movie Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines by Ocean's Movie Reviews
A Scene from the movie Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

Plot:
Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines starts with a newscaster reporting about some festival from a small town. At one time, she goes to the woods and then gets attacked and killed by the three disfigured psychopaths. This time we see another man with them. Later on, it is revealed that that man is somewhat a relative of them and they are living in a cabin in the woods under his protection. He scolds them for not being enough careful.

Then we see a group of five teens, who are camping in the jungle. They have plans to visit somewhere else, but decides to visit that small town to see that festival. While they are on the way, they hit the relative of the maniacs (although it was planned by him). When they get out the car, he attacks them, but the sheriff and his deputy arrives there just then. The sheriff finds some drugs with the teens and after hearing everything, she arrests the group and the man and takes them all to the police station of the town. She (the sheriff) leaves her deputy with the crashed car, who is then killed by the three psychopaths who were waiting nearby for their prey.

At the police station, one of the teens confess that he owns all the drugs. So the sheriff lets the other four teens go. They rent rooms in a nearby hotel. Meanwhile in the police station, the man (the relative of the killers) threatens the sheriff that she should let him go, otherwise his people will come for him and kill everyone to set him free. Naturally, nobody gets scared.

The three killers reach that town to look for him. It seems like the festival of that small town is something like a Halloween costume party, so the disfigured maniacs roam around the town without drawing much attention. Then they enter the power station of that town, kill the guard and shut down the power of the whole town.

Then they start killing the teens one by one. They even kill one in front of the police station. This creates panic and the sheriff frees the captured teen along with another prisoner and gives them shotgun after deputizing them. But this doesn't stop the three killers. She also tries to get help from other nearby police stations, but fails. They manage to kill her husband also.

At one point, the relative of the killers gets free from the jail. Now, the leader rejoins the unstoppable group of killers. Can the sheriff stop them? Can any of the teens survive? To find the answer, you need to watch the movie.

My review about the movie Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines:
First of all, I didn't like this movie at all.

The plot of Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is very simple and predictive. If you have seen a few Hollywood horror movies or any other of the same series, it will be pretty easy to predict the ending which is nowhere near exciting at all. The direction was also bad. And as a horror movie, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines will fail totally to scare anyone.

The acting of the leading characters in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines were not that bad. The dialogues and the make ups were okay, although nothing extraordinary. The scenes of the killing were gore in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines which they were meant to be. Although the scenes in the jungle looked good in this movie, but the set design of the town was poor.

Another important thing is, in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, the teens plan to go to that town and reaches there, so this fifth movie of this franchise does not contain its trademark scene, a mistakenly taken 'wrong turn'.

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines contains nudity and gore scenes. So who has any idea of this movie series, knows this is not for children.

I've had the chance to watch only the Wrong Turn 4 of this series other than Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, so I can't compare the fifth one with the ones before part 4. But to me, Wrong Turn 4 was far better than this. I've read in a lot of discussions that the first two movies of this series were actually good and then the series is getting worse by each new sequel. And most of people has given their comments as Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is the worst of this series.

So, finally, I didn't like Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines for its lack of a good plot, lack of any excitement or surprise, poor set design and too many gore scenes. A poor IMDB rating of 4 (while I'm writing this review) also supports my opinion. I think, other than the hardcore fan of this gore horror movies, nobody else will enjoy Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines.

My review about the movie Axed:
First of all, I didn’t like the movie Axed at all.

The plot of Axed was very straightforward. Although the ending is a little different from the very typical horror movies, but still, it didn’t give any excitement. The direction and screenplay didn’t look good at all.

The acting of the son and the daughter of Kurt were very bad in Axed where the acting of Kurt and his wife was a little better. The dialogues were not that bad, sometimes they were good and sometimes very average.

The biggest problem with the movie Axed was the characters. Kurt was okay as a psychopath, but no other characters looked realistic at all. Each character had its problem in Axed, but they didn’t do anything a real person would do in a situation like that. For example, after the first killing, none of them tried to run away from the cabin. They helped Kurt to hide the body. They all faced Kurt’s abusive behavior without almost any protest. When they went outside, they couldn’t manage to ask anyone for help. And part where the daughter trying to seduce her father and the father falling for that, seemed ridiculous.

The make ups were not good also, and the blood effects seemed totally artificial. The use of effects in Axed was kept to a very minimum scale, which was a good idea. The lighting and the camera works were very average.

Although there was no nudity or gore scene, for the abusive nature of this film, Axed is not appropriate for children.

So, finally, as I’ve written earlier, I didn’t enjoy Axed at all. Only a better and more realistic portrayal of the characters could make this movie a lot better. Although it was supposed to be a thriller, but the thrill was never high at any time throughout the movie. Overall, I will not recommend watching Axed to anyone.

Stitches Movie Review

Stitches

Stitches in a British comedy horror movie released in 2012. This film is written by Conor McMahon and David O'Brien and directed by Conor McMahon. The main characters of the movie Stitches are played by Ross Noble, Tommy Knight, Shane Murray-Corcoran, Gemma-Leah Devereux, Thommas Kane Byrnes and Eoghan McQuinn. This movie has the use of the dark humor, like what we saw in the movie The Cabin In The Woods

Stitches is about a clown who dies accidentally by the prank of some kids and a few years later, comes back to take his revenge.

Plot:
The movie Stitches starts with a clown named ‘Stitches’ having sex with a lady in his cabin. Suddenly an alarm reminds him of a party which he is supposed to attend. So he dashes to the party.

That party was the birthday party of a small boy named Tom. Tom and his friends are having a good time in Tom’s house before Stitches arrives. Stitches reaches there and takes his fees from Tom’s mother in advance, before he even enters the house.

Now, Stitches starts his performance to the children. He is the worst clown ever, considering his performance and behavior. On the other hand, the kids keep interrupting and humiliating him at each of his attempts to entertain the children. Suddenly, a boy, a friend of Tom tries to pull a prank on Stitches by tying his shoelaces together. But this goes horribly wrong, and the accident causes Stitches’ death.

Naturally, the children become scared and sad, specially Tom. From his tree-house, he sees the funeral of Stitches with a telescope. Later on that night, he visits Stitches’ grave to pay his respects. But following some sounds, Tom goes to a nearby house where a group of clowns are performing some special rituals for Stitches. The group catches him, but then leaves him unharmed.

Six years have passed. Tom and his friends are now teens and go to the same school. Tom has grown as a shy boy, who is often bullied by his classmates. His birthday is coming soon, and suddenly he starts hallucinating about Stitches, both in his home and in his school.

Tom’s parents are going to be away at the time of his birthday, so he plans to have a very small birthday party that will include only his very close friends. But one of his friends spreads the words out, so his birthday party becomes a big party containing a good number of teens and all of them, who were there at the time of Stitches’ death.

A copy of the invitation letter of Tom’s party flies to Stitches’ grave. At the eve of Tom’s birthday, Stitches rises from his grave and heads to Tom’s party to seek his revenge.

He manages to hide at the house and starts killing Tom’s friends in a way that is related to how each of them humiliated Stitches before his death. He manages to kill a few of them before anyone notices. But then Tom sees him and wants to alarm everyone about his presence.

At first, his friends don’t believe him. But when they do, its already late and Stitches has taken the lives of a few teens. Only Tom, His childhood crush and another friend of his is alive from that party of six years ago. They must run for their lives while Stitches is chasing them.

They also realize, to stay alive, they must find a way to kill Stitches.

My review about the movie Stitches:
First of all, I didn’t like Stitches at all. It felt like I’ve totally wasted my time by watching it.

The plot of Stitches is peculiar and pointless. The screenplay and direction felt awful. IMDB lists this movie as a comedy/horror. But I haven’t found any comedy element in Stitches. I’m not sure if the director has made this movie in this way on purpose, may be it was supposed to be funny. Blame my sense of humor as much as you want, I totally failed to find the ‘fun’ part anywhere.

The acting of all the main characters of Stitches were good, and its surprising, comparing with all the other elements of this movie. The dialogues are ridiculous, specially the dialogues of Stitches. The lighting, camera works and the set designs were also not that bad.

The worst parts of the movie Stitches are its gore scenes. Those scenes look unnecessary and disgusting, with very bad special effect and make ups. Again, may be whose scenes were supposed to be funny, but not for me.

Considering the sexual content, bad language and gore scenes, Stitches is surely not a movie that you can consider watching with children.

So, finally, as I’ve written ago, this movie seemed a total waste of time for me. But surprisingly, Stitches has a little better than average IMDB rating of 5.7 (while I’m writing this review), so may be its me who is missing something here. But its not such a movie, which I want to watch second time to find the missing, pieces. My recommendation:  stay away from Stitches if you don’t want to waste your time.

Have you watched Stitches? How did you like it? If you have liked it, would you please care to share here what am I missing? There must be something wrong.
