He kidnaps Bryan and to compensate his wife’s cat’s injury, he asks Bryan to marry his daughter so that she can get the green card. Bryan has no other option other than agreeing. But the gang boss also warns Bryan that his right hand man loves his daughter and wants to marry him, so he will keep an eye on them. Even after the wedding, Bryan cannot touch he gang boss’s daughter, let alone do anything else.

After returning home, Bryan finds his secretary at his apartment trying to seduce him. He does not agree. Bryan also calls his mother asking for advice, but without understanding the whole situation, she forces Bryan to marry the girl.

The gang boss’s right hand man gives Bryan a head start by telling about the girl. Bryan didn’t expect much of that girl, but gets amazed when he finds her as a beautiful lady. From the beginning, they like each other, but only as strangers. But two immigration officers are following her to understand the whole plot.

Soon they get married. In their wedding program, Bryan’s secretary tries to create a scene, but fails. After their wedding, Bryan and his wife goes to a honeymoon trip. To reach that island, they take a helicopter driven by a crazy pilot. On the way, they falls into a storm and finds that most of the helicopter’s equipment are not working. But the crazy pilot somehow manages to take them to the beautiful resort.

Bryan’s wife keeps distance from Bryan according to the whole situation. A waitress at the resort tries to help Bryan so that he can impress his wife. While she was teaching Bryan dancing, his wife sees it and gets upset.

Then the waitress tells Bryan about a beautiful place where he should take his wife to cheer her.  Bryan and his wife visits there. But from there, two men kidnap Bryan’s wife. Bryan comes back to the hotel and to add more complication to the situation, his secretary and the right hand man of the gang boss also arrives at the hotel. The waitress again offers her help and her cousin, the crazy helicopter, pilot takes Bryan, his secretary and the waitress to search Bryan’s wife.

Bryan’s secretary falls for the helicopter pilot and their activities harm the rescue mission. In the meantime, Bryan’s wife escapes from the kidnappers and finally Bryan manages to find her. But they were still being chased by the kidnappers and the right hand man of the mafia boss.

The last part of the movie is about their running away and staying alive, the plot and betrayal about the kidnapping and about Bryan and his wife’s relation.

My reviews about You May Not Kiss the Bride:
To be honest, I didn’t expect much from this movie. At first, You May Not Kiss the Bride seemed to me as just a B grade romantic movie, so I felt strange when Mena Suvari and Rob Schneider appeared on it. But as time passed, You May Not Kiss the Bride became interesting and I ended up liking this movie to a bit.

The plot of You May Not Kiss the Bride is good, perfect for a romantic comedy movie.  There are enough drama to keep you interested throughout the movie. The locations where this movie was shot are also beautiful.

My opinion is, You May Not Kiss the Bride has a great problem with the casting and the script. The director should have appointed a more renowned and strong actor as the gang boss. That character alone could make this movie much mature. Or even keeping him, the director should have made that character’s role stronger. Again, Mena Suvari’s character seemed too immature to tolerate. I know her character here was supposed to be immature, but it was so annoying that it has affected You May Not Kiss the Bride. A more renowned actor as the hero could take this movie much higher. Katharine McPhee looked beautiful in here and her acting was also good.

Dialogues are okay, expect for some characters. The makeup and the camera works were good too.

There are no nude scenes in You May Not Kiss the Bride, so its safe to watch this one with kids.

The ending is a little dramatic but it looked good. Although ending of You May Not Kiss the Bride is not unpredictable for a romantic movie, but I like the way things happened.

My feeling is,You May Not Kiss the Bride had a great potential to be a really beautiful movie, but has failed for the lack of good casting, acting and dialogues.

So overall, I liked You May Not Kiss the Bride  specially when I expected almost nothing from it after seeing the first few minutes. I won’t mark it as a great movie, but still, I’d recommend You May Not Kiss the Bride to all romantic movie lovers. But remember, don’t watch it with high expectations, it will fail to you.
