Plot:
Axed starts by showing a man named Kurt losing his job. Then he has a mental breakdown.

In his home next morning, he treats his wife and children (two teens, a son and a daughter) very badly. As their regular routine, he is supposed to drop his children at their school and his wife at her office. He passes the school of his children without stopping. When asked, he replies them that they don’t have to go to school that day.

He also doesn’t let his wife attend her office and keeps on driving with them to a far place. Although he tries to give an impression that they are heading towards an unknown destination and they will stop at any place they want, but he takes them to a cabin which is arrange by him earlier. Throughout the journey, he seems to be in a very good mood and he says, he is doing this to have some family times together.

At the cabin, flowers and notes were ready there for his wife. He takes the cell phone from his wife and daughter, saying, this is the time for family and no one should contact outside. Then we see he secretly visits and then beats a man, whom he has kept tied to bed at a room in that cabin.

Then all of them go for a walk outside, where his misbehaviours come back. When they returns at the cabin, Kurt gives the others gifts, where each of them are very very inappropriate. The he accuses his wife for cheating on him with his ex boss. He also accuses her about it in front of his children. Then he gives an axe to his son and sends his children out to get some woods.

His daughter has another cell phone with her and she calls her boyfriend from the outside. In the cabin, the tied man upstairs makes noises that are heard by Kurt’s wife. Kurt and his wife go upstairs and the wife finds that it is Kurt’s ex boss.

The children come back and find their phones destroyed by Kurt. Kurt comes downstairs and then scolds the children about the use of the axe. Kurt then beats the children unconscious.

They wake up at the upstairs with that room. Then Kurt makes his wife perform an inappropriate act with that man. At one point, the wife and the son runs away. Before Kurt brings them back at the cabin, the daughter tries to free the man, but fails.

While the four of then are having their launch, Kurt discovers the other cell phone and destroys that one also. He then gets annoyed by the noise of the tied man and finally kills him. Together they bury the body.

His wife then tries to run away with her children with the car, but fails. Kurt then kills her in from of the children. Later that night, the siblings try to run away in the nearby jungle. The daughter’s boyfriend comes there, but Kurt kills him. Then the children are chased by their father.

At one point, they manage to tie Kurt in the cabin, but Kurt gets out of it. The psychopath father again chases his children, where the children must run for their lives.

My review about the movie Axed:
First of all, I didn’t like the movie Axed at all.

The plot of Axed was very straightforward. Although the ending is a little different from the very typical horror movies, but still, it didn’t give any excitement. The direction and screenplay didn’t look good at all.

The acting of the son and the daughter of Kurt were very bad in Axed where the acting of Kurt and his wife was a little better. The dialogues were not that bad, sometimes they were good and sometimes very average.

The biggest problem with the movie Axed was the characters. Kurt was okay as a psychopath, but no other characters looked realistic at all. Each character had its problem in Axed, but they didn’t do anything a real person would do in a situation like that. For example, after the first killing, none of them tried to run away from the cabin. They helped Kurt to hide the body. They all faced Kurt’s abusive behavior without almost any protest. When they went outside, they couldn’t manage to ask anyone for help. And part where the daughter trying to seduce her father and the father falling for that, seemed ridiculous.

The make ups were not good also, and the blood effects seemed totally artificial. The use of effects in Axed was kept to a very minimum scale, which was a good idea. The lighting and the camera works were very average.

Although there was no nudity or gore scene, for the abusive nature of this film, Axed is not appropriate for children.

So, finally, as I’ve written earlier, I didn’t enjoy Axed at all. Only a better and more realistic portrayal of the characters could make this movie a lot better. Although it was supposed to be a thriller, but the thrill was never high at any time throughout the movie. Overall, I will not recommend watching Axed to anyone.

Betrayed At 17 Movie Review

Betrayed At 17

Betrayed At 17 is a drama thriller TV movie released in 2011. This movie is written by Christine Conradt and Ken Sanders and directed by Doug Campbell. The major characters of this film are played by Amanda Bauer, Alexandra Paul, Jake Thomas, Andy Fischer-Price, Katie Gill, Paula Trickey and Joe Penny. Betrayed At 17 gives a message to the immature teens, like what we saw in the movie Girl Fight.

The movie Betrayed At 17 is about a teen girl, who’s sex tape has been released by one of her classmate and the consequences leads to her death. Then her mother and brother tries to find the one who is guilty for this and then tries to bring that person to justice.

Plot:
Lexi is a shy teen girl who lives with her mother. Her father has passed away and her brother is living with his friends after her mother has kicked him out of the house for his drug problems. Lexi has a very good relation with her mother and brother. In school, she is regularly bullied by a girl named Carleigh.

One day, Greg, a popular guy and football player from Lexi’s school asks Lexi out for a dinner and Lexi agrees. Greg used to date Carleigh, so this make Carleigh jealous. After the date, Lexi and Greg go to Greg’s home and there they have sex. But what Lexi didn’t know was, Greg is taping their session, although he had no intention to circulate it.

Next morning, Greg shows a part of that video to his friend, who is currently dating Carleigh. Then his friend tells about this tape to Carleigh, who then goes to boy’s room and sends the video to other students from Greg’s phone without telling him.

At a party on that night, Greg and Lexi get to know about the spreading of that video. After knowing Greg has taped her and the tape is out now, Lexi runs out from the party in shame and then gets killed by getting hit by a car.

All the evidences put Greg as the only suspect. The police tell Lexi’s mother that as Lexi was 17, so according to the law, they cannot charge Greg with strong accusation. But Greg gets expelled from his school. Although he says Carleigh has done is, but no one can prove her involvement so she stays innocent by law. At one time, Greg accuses her in the school, but she lies in front of everyone.

Lexi’s death brings her mother and brother close again and they try to find who is responsible for it. Lexi’I brother beat Greg, but Greg swears that although he has recorded it, he has not sent the video to anyone.

Greg then finds a way to prove that Carleigh has done it. He manages to record his conversation with Carleigh where she says she has done it out of her jealousy for Lexi. But his mistake was, after Carleigh’s confession, he shows the recorder to her.

Carleigh gets mad to get the record and at one point, she kills Greg. Then she frames Lexi’s brother for the murder and the police arrest him.

Now, both of Lexi’s and Greg’s mothers get determined to find a way to get the killer of their children, to prove her involvements and to bring her to justice.

My review about the movie Betrayed At 17:
Although Betrayed At 17 was not a perfect pleasure to watch, but still it seemed as a good movie, specially considering its plot.

The plot of Betrayed At 17 is very good and realistic. It also gives a strong message to the young people about what the consequences of their action may lead to. The screenplay and the direction are also good.

I didn’t like the acting of Amanda Bauer, who is one of the leading characters of Betrayed At 17. Other than that, the acting of almost everyone else seemed natural and fluent.  The dialogues and makeups are also good in this movie.

At most of the parts of Betrayed At 17  the lighting and the camera effects didn’t seem proper at all. To me, this was the biggest flaw of the movie. Sometimes, the lighting seemed really poor, much like a B grade movie. This thing has ruined my total viewing experience of Betrayed At 17. This is the only issue for which I couldn’t completely like this movie, although everything else was pretty good.

Although the plot circulates around a sex tape, but Betrayed At 17 does not contain any direct nudity, so its totally safe to watch this movie with kids.

So, finally, Betrayed At 17 has an excellent plot, good acting and good screenplay. It could be a perfect movie if only the lightings and the camera effects were better. Still I enjoyed watching this movie. This movie also has a good IMDB rating of 5.0/10 while I’m writing this review. I’d recommend watching Betrayed At 17 to all drama movie lovers. But if you are fan of all genres of movies (like me), I don’t know how much you will enjoy watching this one (although I liked it).

Plot:
At the beginning of 5 Souls, we see a small clip where a little girl followed by her mother runs to a building and then the building starts to collapse.

Then we see a man named Sam, an ex-police officer and the father of that little girl, leaving a lonely, depressed life and attempts to commit suicide but refrains himself at the last moment. Another building has collapsed and he goes there. He enters the restricted zone and a detective, named Sara, questions him. He says that he is a government officer and convinces Sara to let him stay there. Then another police officer comes and recognizes him but Sam doesn’t tell him that he has already fooled Sara.

Later on, Sam and Sara meet at a bar and Sara thanks Sam for not making her look like a fool in front of her colleagues. Then they make out. After that, Sam tells Sara that the owner of that building is responsible for the collapses by using poor material and he is also the owner of the building where Sam’s daughter and wife died. Sara agrees to take his help in her investigation.

On another side, on the day when the building collapses, a man named Noah, who is going to get married soon, goes to a doctor to get some vaccine. But just after taking the vaccines, he feels sick and then falls into coma after he’s taken to a hospital.

In the hospital, he sees a man in his room who has some very special abilities. That man says he has come to kill Noah, but after Noah’s begging, he gives him a chance. He says, Noah has to kill five people to save himself. Seeing no way out, Noah agrees and then proceeds to the killing. He kills the first victim, and sees that nobody can see him. He also meets a blind girl who can see him and she offers him her help but he refuses.

Meanwhile, Sam and Sara start to live together and continue their investigation. They find some clues of using low grade materials by the building owner. They go to his office and meet him, and he grants them access to company’s files. Their further investigation leads them to Noah’s fiancée, who is an employee of that company. But in these times, some personal issues and Sam’s past records irritates Sara and she wants to stay away, but finally Sam convinces her to keep him in the investigation.

At the hospital, Noah keeps on filling his quota of killing five people. The ghosts of his victims come to haunt him, but it doesn’t stop him from killing. The demon is pleased on him and then according to the demon’s instruction, Jonah wakes up from the coma to kill his last victim, just when Sam and Sara reach the same hospital.

My review about the movie 5 Souls:
5 Souls seemed as a very strange movie, which has a good production value, but is very poorly written.

The plot of 5 Souls seemed very weird. Each of the two plots could make good movies alone, with the same cast. But none of them felt complete and their mixture also didn’t seem good. Though the whole movie, everyone can guess that the two plots will collide at the end, but the way they collided was not enjoyable. The character development also seemed very poor in 5 Souls.

But other than the bad scriptwriting and bad direction, almost everything else in 5 Souls was good. The actors and actresses did a good job. Almost all of the leading artists in 5 Souls have done a good number of TV series ago and their acting here seemed natural. The lighting and set design was also good and the special effects of the demon looked beautiful and scary. The sound effects were good too.

There is a small nudity in 5 Souls. For that and for the killing scenes, I think this movie is not good for children.

So, finally, 5 Souls is an example of how a poor plot can harm the beauty of an otherwise-good movie. I think, this one had a good potential to be a nice movie, but failed completely. I believe I’ve wasted my time by watching it. I will not recommend 5 Souls to anyone.

247 Degrees Fahrenheit Movie Review

247 Degrees Fahrenheit

247 Degrees Fahrenheit is a suspense thriller drama movie released in 2011. This movie is written by  Lloyd S. Wagner, Levan Bakhia and Beqa Oniani and directed by Levan Bakhia and Beqa Jguburia. The very small set of characters in 247 Degrees Fahrenheit is played by Scout Taylor-Compton, Travis Van Winkle, Christina Ulloa, Michael Copon and Tyler Mane.

247 Degrees Fahrenheit is about a group of friends who gets trapped in a sauna, unable to control the high temperature in it. They must fight for their survival until any help from outside comes.

A Scene from the movie 247 Degrees Fahrenheit

Plot:
At the beginning of the movie 247 Degrees Fahrenheit, a couple is going somewhere in the car at night and they have an accident. The accident kills the boy, leaving the girl, named Jenna, injured but alive.

Three years later, Jenna, with her good friend Renee and her boyfriend Michael and Michael’s friend Ian, goes to a trip to spend their vacation. Renee and her boyfriend are trying to fix Jenna with Ian but Jenna is still trying to recover from her tragedy. The four of them goes to a lakeside cabin owned by Ian’s relative Wade. Wade welcomes them all to his beautiful cabin.

At that town, a special festival is going on and they have four passes for a special invite-only party. They all like the cabin very much. Renee and Michael start to make love as soon as they go to their room while Jenna and Ian start to arrange for dinner. Meanwhile, Jenna has refrained herself from taking her medicines, because she is trying to move on and live without her medicines.

They have dinner and then Wade leaves telling that he has some other things to take care of. But before going to the party, they find a beautifully decorated hot sauna in that cabin. Together they hit the sauna and enjoy there. But when they feel too hot, they goes out and together jumps in the lake. But the water of the lake was again too cold for them, so they again head to the sauna.

But before going to the sauna, the two boys have some drink and Michael becomes drunk. He tries to seduce Renee but she refuses. Michael becomes mad and leaves the sauna. He heads upstairs to go to the bathroom. Inside the sauna, Renee feels irritated. After finishing their sauna bath, when the three of them tries to go out, they find that the door is stuck by something from the outside and they are trapped.

They call Michael but the door is too thick to let out much of the sound. They find that, the temperature control system of the sauna is outside, so they can’t reduce the heat. There is a thermostat inside the room, but messing with it may even increase the heat. The system has a maximum heat to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, where they have previously set it at 185 degrees. Until any help from outside comes, they have to survive in this room with only a very small amount of water.

Renee become paranoid and starts to irritate Jenna and Ian. Several times she conducts personal attack on Jenna. Ian tries to find any possible way to get out of the sauna. After several of his attempts and bleeding from his hand, he manages to break a small glass window. It helps them to get some fresh air in the room, but with the risk of the temperature going higher.  He also tries to move that obstacle from the door, but fails.

One time, they hear the barking of Wade’s dog. They shout by the name of that dog and the dog understands their location. Then the dog runs to Wade to bring him for help, but Wade fails to understand the intention of the dog and goes somewhere else taking Michael.

Inside the sauna, Ian tries to blow the fuse by messing with the bulbs. His plan is to stop the heater by cutting the power. But instead of blowing the fuse, his attempts blow the lights and keep the heater running. He also gets a severe electric shock and passes out. He gains his consciousness and finally loses his mind.

Renee has already passed out. So now its all unto Jenna to save their lives.

But who has trapped them inside the sauna? Why there is no response from Michael? What is blocking the door? Why Wade is not returning to the cabin? Why is Michael not looking for them?  Let’s watch this movie till the end to find the answers.

My review about the movie 247 Degrees Fahrenheit:
First of all, 247 Degrees Fahrenheit was a good movie.

The plot is very simple, but interesting. It has kept me wondering throughout the movie about what is actually happening outside the sauna. The answers were hard to predict. At the end of 247 Degrees Fahrenheit, everything fits perfectly, answering all the questions that came in mind.

The acting of all the characters of 247 Degrees Fahrenheit was good and fluent. Although, several times it seemed a little weak on acting, but overall the performance was good. The dialogues were also good. Same goes for makeups.

The screenplay and direction of 247 Degrees Fahrenheit seemed very good. We must give credit to the director to manage to keep the suspense up throughout the movie with such a simple plot. The thrill grew up very slowly from the beginning and once it was up, it stayed till the end. Although the sound effects seemed irritating sometimes, but most of the times, it has helped the suspense. 247 Degrees Fahrenheit gives enough time to know the characters. The screentime was beautifully balanced between inside and outside of the sauna, so it didn’t seem boring at all.

They way they were trapped was the result of an accident and at the end, we see what happened with Michael, so 247 Degrees Fahrenheit has no villain. The writers should also get some credit for creating such a good plot with no evil character.

I have a little complain about the name 247 Degrees Fahrenheit. Ian said, they have set the temperature at 185 degrees, where the maximum it can get was 250 degrees. So, i don't understand how the name fits.

247 Degrees Fahrenheit contains no nude or graphic scene, but has some small scenes with drugs. I think it can be watched with kids. But most part of this movie is inside a sauna and the artists are in their underwear. So considering the nature of this film, I think a little nudity could look good in it.

So, finally, 247 Degrees Fahrenheit seemed like a good movie. I think the IMDB users has done an injustice by rating it only 4.7/10 (while I’m writing this review), this movie deserves a little better. I’d recommend 247 Degrees Fahrenheit to all movie lovers.

At one evening, a beautiful and rich girl named Alex comes to the bar and Sara saves her from an irritating boy. Sara and Alex soon becomes friends and after drinking, Alex become unstable to drive herself home, so Sara takes Alex home in Alex’s high valued car.

Alex sees Sara’s embarrassment about her crash and then takes Sara to a high class party. Sara’s crush and his girlfriend are there at that party, but for coming with Alex, Sara is in a better situation here. At that party, Sara also meets Alex’s stepmother. Later on, Alex, Sara and her crush come together Alex’s house and they start making out, but after sometime, the two girls make out, leaving Sara’s Crush.

Next morning, Alex tells Sara about her affection to Sara. Later on, after going to class, Sara finds that her scholarship has been cancelled and her crush’s girlfriend has used her connection to do it. Sara gets mad and then threatens that girl. Then Alex comes there and takes Sara for a ride. Then she takes Sara to her parent’s home where she grew up. It is also the place where her mother died in a pool.

At night, Alex’s father and her stepmother comes home while Alex and Sara are there. Alex’s father scolds Alex for her behavior. Then Alex tells Sara how her friend has become her stepmother by seducing her father and now enjoying his wealth. Later on that night, Alex proposes Sara to kill Alex’s stepmother and in return, Alex will kill Sara’s crush’s girlfriend. In this way, none of their motives will be known by police.

Sara takes the proposal as a joke. But few days later, Alex kills that girl. Considering her threat to that girl few days ago, Sara becomes a suspect. A police officer comes to interrogate Sara, but Alex gives her alibi. Sara becomes terrified and leaves Alex’s home. She moves in with her crush, who is now her boyfriend.

But Alex keeps pushing her, so at one point she goes to Alex’s parents’ house with a gun in hand. But there she finds the dead body of Alex’s father. Meanwhile, someone else has tipped police about her, so reaching there, police finds Sara at the crime scene. They take Sara to station and Alex comes there and gives false statement against Sara, which puts Sara into jail.

Later, Sara’s professor and her boyfriend come to the police station and take her out. Then Sara moves in with her boyfriend. Then we see that, Alex and her stepmother have planned the whole thing. They have killed Alex’s father to get all property which they will divide themselves and framed Sara for it. Alex also has some sexual relation with her.

In the next few days, Alex finds some connection between that lady and Sara. She starts to get suspicious. On another side, Sara seeks for revenge on Alex for framing her. Finally she plans to get her revenge.

Can Sara prove her innocence? Is she really innocent?  Will the identity of the true criminal gets revealed?  Lets watch the movie to get the answers.

My reviews about Breaking the Girls:
First of all, I liked this movie.

The plot of Breaking the Girls is good and interesting. The ending is has a big twist, which is perfect for a thriller. What happened at the ending was hard to predict, specially the identity of Alex’s stepmother was impossible to guess. The ending has made the movie really interesting. The twist of plot at the end of Breaking the Girls is pretty balanced, its not too much twist like what we saw in the Wild Things series, where it seemed irritating.

The acting of almost all the characters of Breaking the Girls seemed good, except Madeline Zima. Somehow, her acting didn’t seem all natural. But all other artists were very good fit according to their characters. Agnes Bruckner looked amazing throughout the movie.

The makeups and dialogues of Breaking the Girls are very good. The screenplay and directions are also impressive.

What this movie lacked badly was some nude scenes. The lesbian relation between Alex and others is a big part of Breaking the Girls. But this movie has absolutely no frontal nudity. The appeal of an erotic thriller movie surely decreases with the lack of enough nudity.

Although I’ve said it has is no frontal nudity, but the nature of Breaking the Girls has made it not suitable for kids.

So, overall, I’ve enjoyed watching Breaking the Girls. Although the lack of nudity is on the negative side of this movie, but the combination of good plot, good acting and good screenplay has made this movie enjoyable. I’d recommend all movie lovers to watch Breaking the Girls.

Plot:
Jonah is a guy who lives with his two best friends, Gus and Stevie. They spend a good time partying with their friends. At one party, Jonah finds a lump in his testicle. Next day he visits a doctor and upon diagnosis, they find that Jonah has got testicular cancer. The good news is, the cancer is in very primary stage and Jonah is supposed to get a 100% recovery after the doctors remove his testicle. He can also continue his regular sex life after the operation. But the bad news is, this operation will make him infertile, so he can’t be a father after the operation.

The doctor suggests Jonah to contact a sperm bank who can save his sperms for future. Jonah does so and finishes all the procedures. Then he returns home and informs Gus and Stevie. They have a party on the next Friday and Jonah keeps the date for that party unchanged.

Soon, Jonah receives a call from the sperm bank. After going there, Jonah learns that he has a rare medical condition, for which, his sperms cannot be preserved. So, the only option left for him to become a father is to impregnate a woman before the operation.

Jonah starts his journey to look for the woman who will bear his baby. At first, he meets his ex-girlfriend, who is even irritated by Jonah meeting him. After her rejection, Jonah asks another of his girlfriends, who also rejects to his proposal. Jonah then goes to the doctor and shifts the date of his operation to three weeks later. He continues his search by asking all the women he has dated in his life, but none of them accepts his proposal. Jonah doesn’t say anything about his cancer to any of them.

He then looks at the possibility to adopt a baby. But he learns that he can’t adopt one because he has cancer. Stevie fixes him a meeting with a lesbian couple from her office, but the meeting doesn’t go in favor of Jonah. Stevie then makes arrangement for Jonah to meet another woman from her office who wants to have a child, but that plan also fails.

Jonah becomes frustrated. At one time, when he was discussing the whole thing with Stevie, he said her that he will let the mother of his child live as she wants, will not make any problem with her choice of career, friends or boyfriends. He also says that he will give the house where he is living currently to that lady. Stevie gets interested after hearing these offers. After thinking for a whole day, she agrees to have Jonah’s baby. But before agreeing finally, she makes Jonah read and sign on her written agreements.

Then they start to sneak out at night and go to a cheap hotel to have sex. Being good friends, at first it seems weird to both of them, but soon they overcome this. They have only five days before Jonah’s operation and they waste the first night. They use the next four nights to the fullest. These things also create a stronger and more intimate relation between them.

On the day before Jonah’s operation, Jonah and Stevie have some kind of fight on the morning, where both of them regret their decision of choosing each other. Jonah has a party at his home that night. His ex-girlfriend comes to that party. She somehow learns about Jonah’s situation and this time, she herself offers Jonah to have his child. Jonah feels happy about it and they start to have sex right away, as it is the last night before Jonah’s operation. But Jonah refrains himself at the last moment. Just then, Stevie comes to the party looking for Jonah.

My reviews about Not Suitable For Children:
First of all, Not Suitable For Children seemed as a good romantic drama.

The plot of Not Suitable For Children was good, although it was predictable. Any romantic drama fan can predict the ending. Although it may not go exactly as you can guess (yes, it will not go exactly as everyone’s expectation) but still, the major part of the ending will not surprise you. The good thing about the plot of Not Suitable For Children is, it seems realistic, it’s not filled with too much drama or emotions.

The acting and the makeups of all the major characters in Not Suitable For Children were good. The characters were good looking, specially, Sarah Snook looked stunning. The character of Ryan Kwanten looked a little weird, but I think this is how the director had wanted it to be.

The dialogues and the screenplay of Not Suitable For Children were good. Same can be said about direction. But the comedy elements of this movie may seem inadequate as a proper comedy movie.

There were some nude scenes in Not Suitable For Children. For those scenes and also for the plot, you should not watch it with children.

To me, the basic theme of Not Suitable For Children seemed kind of similar the the movie Friends With Kids. The review of that movie can be found here: Friends With Kids Movie Review.

So, finally, Not Suitable For Children seemed like a pretty good movie. Although I’m not a big fan of romantic movies, but I still enjoyed watching it. I’d recommend watching Not Suitable For Children to all movie lovers.

Plot:
Generation Um… shows the events of a full day of a man named John and his two female friends.

At the beginning of Generation Um…, we see John is dropping his two friends off at their house in the morning with his car. John's these two friends are not gentle, where one of them is crazier than the other. After dropping them, John reaches his apartment where we see another boy living in that same apartment, who seems to be a big fan of John. John does some work with some electronics and then goes to bed. At the same time, his female friends who live in the same house, also go to sleep.

John wakes up at the afternoon and again talks with that boy in his apartment. Then he goes to a nearby restaurant and gets something to eat, while another person comes to meet him there. John delivers something to that man and gets paid. They also talk about some issues of life in the meantime. Meanwhile, one of John's friends wakes up and starts to take drugs in the house.

After the meal, John walks nearby and comes to a place where a group is performing a small show. John enjoys their performance and after the show ends, he steals the video camera of one of them. Although he gets chased by the camera’s owner and some other people but he still manages to run away with it. He spends the rest of the afternoon recording random things with that camera. Today is John's birthday, so he receives a gift of a $75 cheque from his mother. His patents call him all the day but he avoids receiving those calls.

At the evening, he goes to his friends’ house with the camera. One of his friends is already up and busy with drugs while the other is sleeping. The one with the drugs gets excited to see the camera and poses for it and John records them. She also dances for the camera. The other one then wakes up and at first, doesn’t agree to record herself. But later, after John’s and the other friend’s persuasion, she agrees. She talks about her early life, how her mother was abused by her father and other personal stuffs which get recorded by John. John also records the two girls talking about their first love and other things.

Then the night comes and John confirms someone over phone about an appointment. Then he takes the girl to a hotel, where we get to know about their professions, John’s profession and his relation with the girls.

My reviews about Generation Um…:
First of all, I didn’t like the movie Generation Um… at all, and I don’t think, anyone else will.

The plot of Generation Um… is too slow, boring and plain. A good amount of screen time was used only to show Keanu Reeves doing almost nothing. Then, most of the other times were used to show people talking.  Actually there is nothing interesting in this movie. The whole time, Generation Um… didn’t seem to go anywhere. It didn’t give any message and will not give make a good feeling to the viewers.

The acting of all the characters were good. There is no question about the capabilities of Keanu Reeves, but Adelaide Clemens, Bojana Novakovic both has also done a great job and played their characters perfectly. Actually these three are like the full set of characters of Generation Um…, all others had very small parts.

The dialogues also seemed good, considering the plot. The make ups and costume designs were okay.

There is a little nude scene in Generation Um… and considering the nature of this movie, you should not watch it with kids.

So, overall, I didn’t like Generation Um…  I don’t understand why Keanu Reeves had to do this movie when he had such a good reputation and fame. Anyway, after watching this movie, I felt I’ve wasted my time in a very bad way. No way I’ll recommend watching Generation Um… to anyone.

Plot:
October Baby starts with a teenage girl named Hannah preparing for her role in her school play. Her good childhood friend (and apparently, her crush) visits her before the performance and they have a little chat. Hannah is feeling uneasy and nervous about her performance and soon after the drama starts, she has a seizure and faints on the stage. Her parents are in the theater to see her play, so they take her to hospital.

After staying at the hospital for one day, Hannah feels better and goes to home. Then she, along with her parents, has a session with her doctor. The doctor talks about her mental issues and says, the reason for her physical and mental issues is the fact that she was born premature. She already can not take this easy but then, she learns that her parents, as she knows them, are not her birthparents. She was adopted and her present parents do not know the name of her actual parents. She also gets the information that her actual mother tried to abort her and she is a result of a failed attempt of abortion.

After hearing all these, Hannah becomes confused, angry and depressed. She shares her feelings with that childhood friend (named Jason) and decides to find her real mother. From her parents, Hannah learns the name and location of the hospital where she was born. Then suddenly, some of her friends (including Jason) invite her to join a road trip they are having, which will pass through the place where she was born. Hannah agrees, and then starts that trip with her friends.

On the night when they stop at a hotel, Hannah shares room with Jason’s girlfriend and before sleeping, Jason’s girlfriend says offensive words to her about her situation. Hannah leaves the group instantly and starts walking. Next morning, Jason finds her by using a rental car and then the two of them spend a good day together. On that night, they rent a room at a hotel, but end up sleeping in the sofa of that hotel’s lobby.

On the next day, they go to the hospital where Hannah was born and find it abandoned. They break in and get caught by police. Hannah tells the police officer her story and fortunately, the officer knows the nurse who signed her birth certificate. The officer frees them and she goes to that nurse. That nurse is now a retired person and she tells Hannah all about the history of her birth. She also gives Hannah her real mother’s name and tells her about the brother that Hannah had.

Hannah then goes to meet her real mother. But there everything doesn’t go fine. Then Hannah’s father comes there who has got information from Jason’s girlfriend. She takes Hannah home from that place.

Will Hannah go to her birth mother, or will she live with her present patents? Can she find her peace? Will she grow a relation with Jason? The last part of this movie is about her attempt to find the answers and also her attempts to find her inner peace.

My reviews about the movie October Baby:
First of all, I loved this movie.

The plot of October Baby is very good. The story felt realistic and touchy. The psychological conflicts, the confusions, the angers and all other emotions in a teenage girl are portrayed beautifully in this movie. The ending is also good. The filmmakers have tried to give us a message through October Baby and they have given that message loud and clear to us.

The acting of almost all the characters in October Baby were good, so were the dialogs. Same goes for the makeups. The screenplay also seemed nice. Rachel Hendrix has performed perfectly here in her debut film and her appearance in this film was really charming. She looked extraordinary beautiful in the whole movie. But I must say, at some parts of October Baby, especially for only a very few seconds, the camera works didn’t look good at all.

Although all the artistes in October Baby have done a good job for themselves, but this movie could be better with some superstars in it.

There is no nude scene in this movie and you can watch October Baby with kids.

So, overall, October Baby is a nice movie. The strongest part of this movie is its plot and the combination of good casting, good acting and good screenplay has helped this beautiful plot to become a great movie. I’d recommend this movie to all movie lovers, because I believe, everyone will love watching October Baby.

Plot:
A Beginner’s Guide to Endings starts with a man telling us about his life and then he tries to commit suicide but fails. He takes another attempt and meanwhile, introduces us with his children, five boys. The eldest one is a boxer, who couldn’t manage a successful career for himself. The second one is a playboy. The third son is so far the most successful one, smart and organized. We don’t get to know much about the forth one, but he is trying to be a boxer like his eldest brother. The last one is an Asian and still a kid. The old man says that 5 of his sons are from 3 of his wives. He regrets for the life he lived and says he has failed as a father. Because of being frustrated for this, he seeks to end his life.

Then we see his sons have gathered for his funeral. But as he has jumped off the Niagara Falls and his body has not been found, so the funeral is going on without his dead body. At the funeral, his sons start fighting with each other for silly reasons.

After the funeral, his sons and the priest visit a local club. The priest was a very good friend of the old man and also of his sons. The priest reads his will. The man has left some small things for each of his sons and has also left his house to them. Then there is another letter which states, when his first 3 sons were little, in exchange for a huge amount of money, he has used them in a drug experiment. As a result, soon the 3 of them will die.

The 3 brothers become frustrated. The third son sees a doctor, who also says that he is going to die soon. When they get sure about it, they start to correct the mistakes they have done all their life.

The eldest one, the boxer, goes to the nearby gym, where he has set a fight for the fourth brother. Seeing the opponent in practice, he realizes that his brother is no fit for his opponent. Feeling the danger for his brother of getting killed, he tries to avoid the fight but the fixer demands $20,000 for cancelling the game. He then starts to seek the money.

The second brother, the playboy, feels that he needs to settle down with someone. Opposing everyone else’s opinion, he heads for his high school crush, who seems as a pretty dangerous lady to marry. He spends some times with that lady and at one point, she puts him face to face with her boyfriend, who had cases against him for assaulting people. The outlaw boyfriend tries to kill him, but also says, he will get the girl if the brother can defeat him.

The third brother, the smart one, living a controlled life till now, starts to seek for adventure. Putting on a costume of Elvis Presley, he quits his job, talks with the girl which he always has hesitated and slaps his manager. He maintains a list of things to do before he dies. The last thing of his list is to get inside a barrel and then jump off the Niagara Falls, which he attempts.

Meanwhile, the eldest brother, failing to get the $20000, decides to fight the boxing match himself instead to his young brother, to save his brother’s life. But from the priest, he learns why he can’t fight and why the same fate has happened to him in every match he has fought. He also learns that, even after living a reckless life, how much their father loved them.

The last part of the movie is about the three brothers’ dangerous attempts and about the last days of their life, or is it?

My review about A Beginner’s Guide to Endings:
First of all, I didn’t like A Beginner’s Guide to Endings much.

The plot of A Beginner’s Guide to Endings is not bad, but its predictable. If you have watched enough movies, you will know what will happen at the end, in one way or another. The ending felt too dramatic for me. And also, A Beginner’s Guide to Endings had the probation to include much more comedy and suspense elements in this movie, but the director didn’t do it. It could make this movie much better.

The acting and the dialogues are goods. The casting also felt good. But, the character development of A Beginner’s Guide to Endings is very bad. Usually I don’t write much about character developments, but in  A Beginner’s Guide to Endings, I specially felt it being very poor.

Although this is a comedy movie, but the comedy elements were also very poor, and I didn’t find any scene at all which could make us laugh. But still, the whole A Beginner’s Guide to Endings doesn’t go maintaining a pure serious tone. To me, this movie is oddly stuck somewhere between being funny and being serious.

There is no nude scene in A Beginner’s Guide to Endings but it has some regular ‘bad words’. I feel its safe to watch it with kids.

So, finally, I didn’t enjoy A Beginner’s Guide to Endings. Although its not that kind of movie that will make you feel your time got wasted, but to me, its not something to love. I won’t recommend watching A Beginner’s Guide to Endings to other movie lovers.
