Silent Night Movie Review

Silent Night

Silent Night is a horror thriller movie released in 2012. This movie is a loose remake of the 1984 film Silent Night, Deadly Night. It is also also loosely based on the real events of 'Covina Massacre'. Silent Night is written by Jayson Rothwell and directed by Steven C. Miller. The main characters of the film Silent Night are played by Malcolm McDowell, Jaime King, Donal Logue, Rick Skene, Ellen Wong, Andrew Cecon and John B. Lowe.

Silent Night is about a man who disguises as Santa Clause at a Christmas Eve and kills the 'sinners' of a small town. The sheriff of that town and the deputies try to stop that man.

Jaime King in a scene of Silent Night

Plot:

Silent Night starts with the sequence where a man wearing the dress of Santa Clause wears a mask. He then kills a man who is tied to a chair.

Next, on the morning of the Christmas, the deputy sheriff Aubrey gets up from her bed by the call of the sheriff. The sheriff asks her to join the duty, as they are low on manpower. Aubrey tries to avoid it, as she has lost someone close recently and it is the first Christmas after that, so it is a special day for her. But after the sheriff's pressure, she agrees to come to her office.

The mysterious Santa Clause next kills a little girl who behaves very badly with her mother. After reaching to her office, Aubrey hears that another deputy is missing, and the rumor is, he has ran away taking another man's wife with him.

Aubrey hears a report about a man making the children cry and she goes to investigate it. She then finds a man who is spreading depressing messages among kids about Christmas. She warns that man. Following another report, she goes to house and finds the first victim of the killer, dead. It is the deputy sheriff who was missing. She also finds the body of his girlfriend in that house. Being inexperienced, Aubrey cannot handle the situation properly. Then the sheriff reaches there. He tells Aubrey that they are on their own in this case, they have no other help in this vacation.

The killer then kills two ladies and a man who are involved in making soft porn. In the police station, the sheriff and the deputies try to find a suspect and to stop the killer. They are desperate for some clues. Meanwhile, the killer kills the perverted father of the local church. Aubrey finds a suspect who somehow matches with the killer's profile, but before she can arrest him, he runs away. From that man, Aubrey learns the story of a man who killed his wife (who was cheating on him) and he is now killing people on every Christmas Eve on a different town.

Aubrey has some arguments with the sheriff about the identity of the killer. Next, while the sheriff is informing the mayor about the killings, the killer kills the mayor. Then the killer kills the mayor's daughter and her boyfriend.

Aubrey finds her suspect again, but this time she kills him. Then she finds a common sign given by the killer to his victims. Following the sign, she finds her father dead in her home. The sheriff also has that sign, and to kill him, the killer Santa Clause attacks the police station.

My reviews about the movie Silent Night:

Silent Night seemed like just an average horror movie.

The plot was good, but nothing special. It was something that we have seen in a lot of horror movies. The ending and the identity of the killer in Silent Night was something a little different from regular horror thrillers, but still no big surprise. The direction and screenplay was good.

There was a little mismatch in the plot of Silent Night. That is, how the killer managed to carry all those weapons with him all those times, and how he could know the 'sins' of all his victims didn't seem realistic.
The acting of the main characters were also good. The make ups and the dialogues were good too, but nothing extraordinary. Most of the killing scenes of Silent Night looked realistic. The music, the lighting and the camera works also looked good.

Silent Night has used several dark humors and they were also not bad.

There was some nude scenes and a lot of gore scenes in the movie Silent Night, so in no way you should watch this one with kids. Moreover, this film can give a wrong message to children about Christmas.

So, finally, I enjoyed watching Silent Night, but not much. Watching it will not give you any extra good experience than other regular horror movies. I'll recommend this movie to you only if you are a big fan of horror movies with a lot of gore scenes. Otherwise, skipping Silent Night will not be a big miss.

Ending Explanation of Silent Night:

This part contains spoiler, so I've written it in white font. If you have watched Silent Night and curious about the ending, select the below part by dragging you mouse to read the ending explanation.

Remember the story Aubrey heard from her suspect whom she killed later on? On one Christmas Eve, a man killed his wife with a flamethrower who was cheating on him. At the end of Silent Night, we see the cops arrived at that scene and killed that man. One of those cops' son was sitting in a car nearby and his father was killed by fire after shooting that man. Seeing his father killed this way, the son becomes maniac and he is the killer in Santa Clause's disguise.

Also, at the end of Silent Night, we see the killer's musk was burning on the police station's floor without anyone around it, and then we saw a man with burnt face, that indicates that the killer is alive and he will kill more people in future.

I, Frankenstein Movie Review

I, Frankenstein

I, Frankenstein is a fantasy action thriller movie released in 2014. This movie is written by Stuart Beattie and Kevin Grevioux and directed by Stuart Beattie. The character Frankenstein is the same as the monster created by British author Mary Shelley in her famous novel 'Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus'. The major characters of the movie I, Frankenstein are played by Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto and Jai Courtney.

I, Frankenstein tells the story of the monster Frankenstein, who runs away and then comes back to the society in the modern world. He then gets caught between the fight of the demons and the angels.

A scene from the movie I, Frankenstein by ocean's movie reviews
A scene from the movie I, Frankenstein

Plot:

I, Frankenstein starts from the almost the same place where the novel Frankenstein ends. The difference is, here Victor Frankenstein heads to the arctic regions with his monster, where he dies. The monster comes back carrying Victor's dead body to the civilization. There he buries the body and just after that, some demons attack him. He is saved by some gargoyles. The gargoyles bring him back to their home. Here the queen of the gargoyles names him 'Adam' and tells him about their purpose in the earth.

She also tells him about demons and about their fight with them. They ask Adam to stay and fight with them, but Adam refuses. Adam takes some weapons and runs away from civilization. He stays alone for two centuries, but all these times the demons are trying to capture him. So to get rid of them, he finally comes back to civilization to hunt the demons himself.

He goes to a nightclub and there he kills some demons. Then the gargoyles again bring him to their home. In the meantime, we see the demon leader disguised as a human, who has appointed two scientists to bring life back to the deaths, the experiments which was done by Victor Frankenstein. Victor's journal (which is with Adam now) or Adam is very crucial for his experiments, to study and to come to a positive result.

The demon leader learns that Adam is now at the gargoyles' place, so he sends an army to catch him. The demons have a big fight with the gargoyles, which kills some on the most important gargoyle soldiers and also a lot of demons. The demons capture gargoyle queen and take her as a hostage. From a demon, Adam learns that she will be released if Adam or Victor's journal is given to the demons.

Adam frees the gargoyle queen in exchange of the journal. He then follows a demon and goes to their headquarter. There he sees thousands of dead bodies are kept by the demons. Then he meets the demon leader, who tells Adam his masterplan, which is to bring life (actually, demon spirit) to all these dead bodies and make an army, with which, he will rule the earth. Adam then retrives the journal and leaves that place.

The demons leader sends a demon to capture Adam. Adam takes help from the lady scientist of the demon leader, who trusts Adam after seeing the demon herself. Adam kills that demon and goes into hiding. He also warns the gargoyles about the demon's plan. Seeing the danger of mankind, the gargoyle queen sends her highest gargoyle to kill Adam. But finally Adam kills him and then he destroys the journal.

Adam is now a common enemy of both of the demons and the gargoyles. The demons want to capture and study him where the gargoyles want to kill him for the safety of the mankind. The gargoyles led by their queen chase Adam and he runs to the demons' headquarter, which puts the demons and the gargoyle army face to face.

My review about the movie I, Frankenstein :

I, Frankenstein seemed like just a very average movie.

The plot of I, Frankenstein was interesting but very predictable. It didn't give any exciting ending at all. The direction and the screenplay was very average.

The acting of all the major characters of I, Frankenstein were okay. The dialogues were also very average, neither bad nor nothing special. I think, it would seem better if a little more importance was given to the character of the lady scientist. The make ups in I, Frankenstein were good, specially the make up of Adam. But considering all other characters, the make ups of the demons (in their demon form) should have been better.

The special effects and the animations of I, Frankenstein were very impressive. Specially the gargoyles looked really good. The lighting and the camera works were also good for most of the parts.

Some concepts of I, Frankenstein looked really unrealistic, even for a fantasy film. For example, after roaming in the uncivilized regions of the earth for 200 years, how come Adam knew the roads and the exact place where he could get a lead on the demons? How come so much actions could go around causing the crashing of cars and buildings without alerting any human at all?

I, Frankenstein does not contain any nude or gore scene, so you can watch it safely with children.

So, finally, I, Frankenstein didn't seem like an enjoyable movie. You can enjoy this movie for the special effects or some of the action scenes, but not the plot or anything else. Although it has an average IMDB rating of 5.4 (while I'm writing this), but I think that is overrated. I will not recommend to watch I, Frankenstein to anyone. But if you have enough time to kill, watching I, Frankenstein won't waste your time.

Wrong Turn 5 Movie Review

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is a crime horror thriller movie released in 2012. This movie is written by Declan O'Brien, Alan B. McElroy and directed by Declan O'Brien. The main characters of Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines are played by Doug Bradley, Camilla Arfwedson, Simon Ginty, Roxanne McKee, Paul Luebke, Oliver Hoare, Kyle Redmond-Jones and Amy Lennox. Radoslav Parvanov, George Karlukovski and Borislav Iliev play the characters of the three serial killers. As the name suggests, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is the fifth movie of the horror franchise Wrong Turn

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is the story of the same old tree psychopath serial killers, who haunts five teen tourists and some police in a small town.
A Scene from the movie Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines by Ocean's Movie Reviews
A Scene from the movie Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

Plot:
Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines starts with a newscaster reporting about some festival from a small town. At one time, she goes to the woods and then gets attacked and killed by the three disfigured psychopaths. This time we see another man with them. Later on, it is revealed that that man is somewhat a relative of them and they are living in a cabin in the woods under his protection. He scolds them for not being enough careful.

Then we see a group of five teens, who are camping in the jungle. They have plans to visit somewhere else, but decides to visit that small town to see that festival. While they are on the way, they hit the relative of the maniacs (although it was planned by him). When they get out the car, he attacks them, but the sheriff and his deputy arrives there just then. The sheriff finds some drugs with the teens and after hearing everything, she arrests the group and the man and takes them all to the police station of the town. She (the sheriff) leaves her deputy with the crashed car, who is then killed by the three psychopaths who were waiting nearby for their prey.

At the police station, one of the teens confess that he owns all the drugs. So the sheriff lets the other four teens go. They rent rooms in a nearby hotel. Meanwhile in the police station, the man (the relative of the killers) threatens the sheriff that she should let him go, otherwise his people will come for him and kill everyone to set him free. Naturally, nobody gets scared.

The three killers reach that town to look for him. It seems like the festival of that small town is something like a Halloween costume party, so the disfigured maniacs roam around the town without drawing much attention. Then they enter the power station of that town, kill the guard and shut down the power of the whole town.

Then they start killing the teens one by one. They even kill one in front of the police station. This creates panic and the sheriff frees the captured teen along with another prisoner and gives them shotgun after deputizing them. But this doesn't stop the three killers. She also tries to get help from other nearby police stations, but fails. They manage to kill her husband also.

At one point, the relative of the killers gets free from the jail. Now, the leader rejoins the unstoppable group of killers. Can the sheriff stop them? Can any of the teens survive? To find the answer, you need to watch the movie.

My review about the movie Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines:
First of all, I didn't like this movie at all.

The plot of Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is very simple and predictive. If you have seen a few Hollywood horror movies or any other of the same series, it will be pretty easy to predict the ending which is nowhere near exciting at all. The direction was also bad. And as a horror movie, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines will fail totally to scare anyone.

The acting of the leading characters in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines were not that bad. The dialogues and the make ups were okay, although nothing extraordinary. The scenes of the killing were gore in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines which they were meant to be. Although the scenes in the jungle looked good in this movie, but the set design of the town was poor.

Another important thing is, in Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, the teens plan to go to that town and reaches there, so this fifth movie of this franchise does not contain its trademark scene, a mistakenly taken 'wrong turn'.

Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines contains nudity and gore scenes. So who has any idea of this movie series, knows this is not for children.

I've had the chance to watch only the Wrong Turn 4 of this series other than Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, so I can't compare the fifth one with the ones before part 4. But to me, Wrong Turn 4 was far better than this. I've read in a lot of discussions that the first two movies of this series were actually good and then the series is getting worse by each new sequel. And most of people has given their comments as Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines is the worst of this series.

So, finally, I didn't like Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines for its lack of a good plot, lack of any excitement or surprise, poor set design and too many gore scenes. A poor IMDB rating of 4 (while I'm writing this review) also supports my opinion. I think, other than the hardcore fan of this gore horror movies, nobody else will enjoy Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines.

Axed Movie Review

Axed

Axed is a horror drama thriller movie released in 2012. This movie is written and directed by Ryan Lee Driscoll. The very limited casting of the movie Axed includes Jonathan Hansler, Andrea Gordon, Nicola Posener, Christopher Rithin, Henry Douthwaite and Brandon Francis.

Axed is about a man who loses his mind after losing his job and then plans to kill his own wife and children.

A scene from the movie Axed by Ocean's Movie Review
A scene from the movie Axed

Plot:
Axed starts by showing a man named Kurt losing his job. Then he has a mental breakdown.

In his home next morning, he treats his wife and children (two teens, a son and a daughter) very badly. As their regular routine, he is supposed to drop his children at their school and his wife at her office. He passes the school of his children without stopping. When asked, he replies them that they don’t have to go to school that day.

He also doesn’t let his wife attend her office and keeps on driving with them to a far place. Although he tries to give an impression that they are heading towards an unknown destination and they will stop at any place they want, but he takes them to a cabin which is arrange by him earlier. Throughout the journey, he seems to be in a very good mood and he says, he is doing this to have some family times together.

At the cabin, flowers and notes were ready there for his wife. He takes the cell phone from his wife and daughter, saying, this is the time for family and no one should contact outside. Then we see he secretly visits and then beats a man, whom he has kept tied to bed at a room in that cabin.

Then all of them go for a walk outside, where his misbehaviours come back. When they returns at the cabin, Kurt gives the others gifts, where each of them are very very inappropriate. The he accuses his wife for cheating on him with his ex boss. He also accuses her about it in front of his children. Then he gives an axe to his son and sends his children out to get some woods.

His daughter has another cell phone with her and she calls her boyfriend from the outside. In the cabin, the tied man upstairs makes noises that are heard by Kurt’s wife. Kurt and his wife go upstairs and the wife finds that it is Kurt’s ex boss.

The children come back and find their phones destroyed by Kurt. Kurt comes downstairs and then scolds the children about the use of the axe. Kurt then beats the children unconscious.

They wake up at the upstairs with that room. Then Kurt makes his wife perform an inappropriate act with that man. At one point, the wife and the son runs away. Before Kurt brings them back at the cabin, the daughter tries to free the man, but fails.

While the four of then are having their launch, Kurt discovers the other cell phone and destroys that one also. He then gets annoyed by the noise of the tied man and finally kills him. Together they bury the body.

His wife then tries to run away with her children with the car, but fails. Kurt then kills her in from of the children. Later that night, the siblings try to run away in the nearby jungle. The daughter’s boyfriend comes there, but Kurt kills him. Then the children are chased by their father.

At one point, they manage to tie Kurt in the cabin, but Kurt gets out of it. The psychopath father again chases his children, where the children must run for their lives.

My review about the movie Axed:
First of all, I didn’t like the movie Axed at all.

The plot of Axed was very straightforward. Although the ending is a little different from the very typical horror movies, but still, it didn’t give any excitement. The direction and screenplay didn’t look good at all.

The acting of the son and the daughter of Kurt were very bad in Axed where the acting of Kurt and his wife was a little better. The dialogues were not that bad, sometimes they were good and sometimes very average.

The biggest problem with the movie Axed was the characters. Kurt was okay as a psychopath, but no other characters looked realistic at all. Each character had its problem in Axed, but they didn’t do anything a real person would do in a situation like that. For example, after the first killing, none of them tried to run away from the cabin. They helped Kurt to hide the body. They all faced Kurt’s abusive behavior without almost any protest. When they went outside, they couldn’t manage to ask anyone for help. And part where the daughter trying to seduce her father and the father falling for that, seemed ridiculous.

The make ups were not good also, and the blood effects seemed totally artificial. The use of effects in Axed was kept to a very minimum scale, which was a good idea. The lighting and the camera works were very average.

Although there was no nudity or gore scene, for the abusive nature of this film, Axed is not appropriate for children.

So, finally, as I’ve written earlier, I didn’t enjoy Axed at all. Only a better and more realistic portrayal of the characters could make this movie a lot better. Although it was supposed to be a thriller, but the thrill was never high at any time throughout the movie. Overall, I will not recommend watching Axed to anyone.

Stitches Movie Review

Stitches

Stitches in a British comedy horror movie released in 2012. This film is written by Conor McMahon and David O'Brien and directed by Conor McMahon. The main characters of the movie Stitches are played by Ross Noble, Tommy Knight, Shane Murray-Corcoran, Gemma-Leah Devereux, Thommas Kane Byrnes and Eoghan McQuinn. This movie has the use of the dark humor, like what we saw in the movie The Cabin In The Woods

Stitches is about a clown who dies accidentally by the prank of some kids and a few years later, comes back to take his revenge.

A scene from the movie Stitches by ocean's movie reviews
A scene from the movie Stitches

Plot:
The movie Stitches starts with a clown named ‘Stitches’ having sex with a lady in his cabin. Suddenly an alarm reminds him of a party which he is supposed to attend. So he dashes to the party.

That party was the birthday party of a small boy named Tom. Tom and his friends are having a good time in Tom’s house before Stitches arrives. Stitches reaches there and takes his fees from Tom’s mother in advance, before he even enters the house.

Now, Stitches starts his performance to the children. He is the worst clown ever, considering his performance and behavior. On the other hand, the kids keep interrupting and humiliating him at each of his attempts to entertain the children. Suddenly, a boy, a friend of Tom tries to pull a prank on Stitches by tying his shoelaces together. But this goes horribly wrong, and the accident causes Stitches’ death.

Naturally, the children become scared and sad, specially Tom. From his tree-house, he sees the funeral of Stitches with a telescope. Later on that night, he visits Stitches’ grave to pay his respects. But following some sounds, Tom goes to a nearby house where a group of clowns are performing some special rituals for Stitches. The group catches him, but then leaves him unharmed.

Six years have passed. Tom and his friends are now teens and go to the same school. Tom has grown as a shy boy, who is often bullied by his classmates. His birthday is coming soon, and suddenly he starts hallucinating about Stitches, both in his home and in his school.

Tom’s parents are going to be away at the time of his birthday, so he plans to have a very small birthday party that will include only his very close friends. But one of his friends spreads the words out, so his birthday party becomes a big party containing a good number of teens and all of them, who were there at the time of Stitches’ death.

A copy of the invitation letter of Tom’s party flies to Stitches’ grave. At the eve of Tom’s birthday, Stitches rises from his grave and heads to Tom’s party to seek his revenge.

He manages to hide at the house and starts killing Tom’s friends in a way that is related to how each of them humiliated Stitches before his death. He manages to kill a few of them before anyone notices. But then Tom sees him and wants to alarm everyone about his presence.

At first, his friends don’t believe him. But when they do, its already late and Stitches has taken the lives of a few teens. Only Tom, His childhood crush and another friend of his is alive from that party of six years ago. They must run for their lives while Stitches is chasing them.

They also realize, to stay alive, they must find a way to kill Stitches.

My review about the movie Stitches:
First of all, I didn’t like Stitches at all. It felt like I’ve totally wasted my time by watching it.

The plot of Stitches is peculiar and pointless. The screenplay and direction felt awful. IMDB lists this movie as a comedy/horror. But I haven’t found any comedy element in Stitches. I’m not sure if the director has made this movie in this way on purpose, may be it was supposed to be funny. Blame my sense of humor as much as you want, I totally failed to find the ‘fun’ part anywhere.

The acting of all the main characters of Stitches were good, and its surprising, comparing with all the other elements of this movie. The dialogues are ridiculous, specially the dialogues of Stitches. The lighting, camera works and the set designs were also not that bad.

The worst parts of the movie Stitches are its gore scenes. Those scenes look unnecessary and disgusting, with very bad special effect and make ups. Again, may be whose scenes were supposed to be funny, but not for me.

Considering the sexual content, bad language and gore scenes, Stitches is surely not a movie that you can consider watching with children.

So, finally, as I’ve written ago, this movie seemed a total waste of time for me. But surprisingly, Stitches has a little better than average IMDB rating of 5.7 (while I’m writing this review), so may be its me who is missing something here. But its not such a movie, which I want to watch second time to find the missing, pieces. My recommendation:  stay away from Stitches if you don’t want to waste your time.

Have you watched Stitches? How did you like it? If you have liked it, would you please care to share here what am I missing? There must be something wrong.

The Collapsed Movie Review

The Collapsed

The Collapsed is a horror thriller movie released in 2011. This film is written by Kevin Hutchinson and Justin McConnell and directed by Justin McConnell. The four main characters of the movie The Collapsed are played by John Fantasia, Steve Vieira, Anna Ross and Lise Moule.

The Collapsed is about a family of four members, who tries to survive from some mysterious people who are on a hunt to kill everyone around.

A scene from the movie The Collapsed by Ocean's Movie Reviews
A scene from the movie The Collapsed

Plot:

The plot of The Collapsed starts with a family of four; the dad, the mom and the brother and the sister, hiding in a dark place in a city from some strange dangerous people. They find the existence of those dangerous people in their hiding place, so they leave that place very carefully and move to a basement train station. They spend the night there in the dark. Later at that night, the father hears some strange noise.

On the next morning, they finds a car with some dead bodies around (and inside) it and then they take the car to leave the city. Their target is to find the other brother who lives a little far away and they guess that place will be safer as it is a less crowded area.

On the way, they find that their car is running out of gas. So they stop at a gas station. Although they find the gas refill machines out of order, but they manage to get some supplies from the store there. But soon two masked man come there with guns, so the family runs away from the store through the back door and continues their journey through the woods by feet.

At one point, they stop to take some rest. The sister gets separated for a while but comes back to others safely. After a little argument, the father and the son goes back to the store again to get some more supplies and to take back their car. They find their car fully out of gas, while they manage to get some supplies. While coming back to the mother and the daughter, the son falls a little behind his father and they find that the mother and the daughter both have been killed in the meantime. They bury the bodies. The son wants to go after the killers, but his father stops him.

Now the father and the son continues their journey. They find a cabin in the woods with some foods and beers. They spend the night there, where the father and the son talk about some of their family issues.

On the next morning, they start their journey again. They spend that night open in the woods but they survive without facing any danger. On the next morning, they were on their journey again as usual before they sense someone's presence around them. Then a sniper shoots the son on the leg. He falls down and the father tries to save him, but the sniper finally kills him. The father follows the sniper, which leads him to cabin where some of those strange men and some survivors were residing. There the father tries to take the revenge of all the deaths of his family members but in return, he gets the horrible answers about the mystery happening around that place.

My review about the movie The Collapsed:

The whole movie The Collapsed didn't seem impressive at all, except the last five minutes.

The plot is very simple and straightforward until the ending. Throughout the whole The Collapsed, I kept wondering about those mysterious men who are trying to kill them. But almost nothing about their intention was shown until the ending, which, instead of keeping the thrills up, felt annoying. The direction and the screenplay also felt very poor. The charters didn't seem realistic all the times in The Collapsed. For example, when two killers were out there nearby with guns, how can a girl go away from the group to shave her legs? Again, in a situation like that, how come the father and the son get separated with the guns leaving the mother and the daughter defenseless in the jungle?

The whole movie kept on going boring and I can't blame anyone if he/she gives up watching this in halfway. But those who are patient enough to continue watching The Collapsed till the end, will be rewarded with some good excitement at the very end. The twist was somewhat unpredictable and I must say, impressive. Although it doesn't give a very good explanation or most of the answers that comes to the mind while watching The Collapsed (even some of the most basic ones) but as a fantasy, it felt good.

The acting of none of the characters of the movie The Collapsed were very good. To me, the acting of the leading character, the father, felt worst. The dialogues were also very poor. At some parts, the dialogues felt redundant.

On the good sides of The Collapsed are the music, the lighting, the location and the set design and the camera effects. The combinations of all these are good enough so that you won't get a feeling of watching regular B grade movie.

There are no nude scenes in The Collapsed. But this movie contains some gore scenes, so I think you shouldn't watch it with children.

So, finally, as I've written above, The Collapsed is a below average movie with a good ending. The twist in the ending makes this movie its worth, but the lack in other important issues (like acting, dialogues, screenplay and so on) pulls it down so much that the ending alone can't cover them up. I wouldn't recommend watching The Collapsed to others.
